Drawing Machine
These machines represent a joyful assembly of liberated technology, freed from oppressive relationships and transformed into companions in play. They promote a culture of repair and innovative thinking, where creativity is driven by repurposing the forgotten. I control these machines using simple algorithms, like dice and coins, to generate binary instructions that directly influence their performance—determining their power consumption, placement, and longevity. In their unpredictability, they reveal new possibilities, inviting me to rethink the relationship between work and play, and between technology and human agency.

My electric mark-making machines are constructed from reclaimed printmaking matrices, electric staplers, and bicycle parts. These visceral machines are designed to showcase power, both in a literal and metaphorical sense, challenging the technological constraints embedded in the objects.

Rules
Dice games are one of many mark-making procedures I design and apply to my drawings. Ultimately, my drawings function as records of generative processes that consist of multiple stages of games, rules, chance operations, and mechanical interventions. Through these processes, I obstruct and interrogate my own sense of choice and authorship.

Drawing Machines
By automating the act of drawing, these machines allow me to shift between roles—creator, designer, and system maintainer—while they carry on during my leisure time. Their inefficiency and precariousness, crafted from the vast ocean of obsolete and discarded technology, are precisely what make them meaningful. I use them to sketch maps and navigate the city, exploring spaces beyond prescribed routes and commercial zones, delving into the interplay between chaos and order.
Records
Deconstruction, reconfiguration, and recontextualization are central to my process; these acts are reflected in my machines, drawings and collages. Like the machines, my drawings and collages are the result of recombined graphic languages sourced from textbooks, comic books, classic cartoons, and common vandalism.
Factory
Factory serves as the manufacturing station, incorporating mechanical components salvaged from a decommissioned sewing machine. It features a pedal-operated motor capable of winding spools using found materials. The production process is entirely gamified, with the operator relying on chance operations to generate algorithms that dictate the production parameters. The station is equipped with repair tools, safety gear, an operations manual, and storage facilities.

Prone to breakdowns and in constant need of maintenance and care, they symbolize something deeper: tools for political creativity that challenge conventional notions of work. These devices prompt me to see work as a form of play.
